If you are a vocal arts lover, now may be a good time to start thinking about New Tang Dynasty 2nd Chinese International Vocal Competition, which will run from August 8-10, 2008 at New York City’s Town Hall Foundation, located on 123 West 43rd St.

The search is on for the world’s best Chinese Vocalists!  For thousands of years the Chinese sang to exalt the gods. Vocalists were chosen based on their ability to expresses the inner qualities of loyalty, honesty and respect. Every powerful and beautiful note would transport the listener to a divine land. The 2008 NTDTV Chinese Vocal Competition is offering Chinese vocalists from around the world the opportunity to showcase their talents and compete for a grand prize of US$10,000!   Don’t miss this great chance to experience the world’s best Chinese vocalists! In addition, NTDTV is delighted to bring DIVINE PERFORMING ARTS (DPA), the world’s premier Chinese dance and music company, to New Brunswick, NJ, on Sunday, August 10. The performance is one of only two by the company this summer, and the first ever in the community. Show time is 8:00 PM, at the State Theatre, NJ, with tickets starting at $35.
